Deep Cover: The Real Donnie Brasco

Finale week is finally here! So far, we have Leo Rossi and Joe Pistone have unpacked a lot about what really went down in the Donnie Brasco undercover operation. From Joe's life before the FBI, to sit-downs with the mob, and finally taking the stand to put them all away, we heard it all. However, last week, we finally got to compare fact to fiction. Leo and Joe discussed what the Donnie Brasco, film starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino, got right and what was just Hollywood magic. Joe also gives us behind-the-scenes stories about what it was like working with an a-list actor like Johnny Depp.

Catch up on all of season one now, and be sure to keep an eye out this Wednesday for the season finale.

Let's Get Into Entertainment

With Rod still off working on the set of the new Saved By The Bell re-boot, Mark continues to hold it down for you at home. This week he is joined by filmmaker Lorena David. The two have a working history together, having worked together in both the scripted and live worlds of entertainment. They discuss their past projects, the unconventional ways they got them funded, and how risky approaches turned into big rewards.

Lorena has had a long career, and has mastered the art of the non-scripted media. She takes through how she's made the switch from directing to editing and back again. Listen to the discussion here, or anywhere you listen to podcast.

The Appalachian Mountains are far more than just beautiful landscape and winding trails. There's stories that can be told there, both gruesome and chilling. In the new podcast, Appalachian Mysteria, we dive into some of the most bone-chilling murders and mysteries to happen in the area. First, we learn of the horrendous happenings surrounding Mared and Karen: The WVU Coed Murders . In season two, we dive into Big Savage: The Death of Alexander Stevens for a story that will have you thinking you've just watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Season three is coming, so catch up on the first two seasons of Appalachian Mysteria anywhere you listen to podcast.
